From December 4 through 13, major Las Vegas resorts are transforming their properties into dynamic hubs for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Casinos across the Strip and downtown are rolling out comprehensive schedules of concerts, high-end culinary experiences, fashion events, and specialty gaming activations tailored to the Western crowd.

Strip Resorts Offer Luxury and Glamour

Luxury resorts are hosting exclusive, sophisticated events that blend rodeo culture with Vegas flair.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is positioning itself as a high-end NFR destination. The resort’s schedule features a strong culinary emphasis, highlighted by a ten-day la Barbecue pop-up at The Tavern featuring the acclaimed Central Texas smokehouse cuisine of MICHELIN-starred Chef Ali Clem. The property also hosts the elegant Cowgirls & Cocktails Tea Party, a high-end networking event for women in the Western world. Beyond dining, the entertainment includes a concert by rising country star Colter Wall at the BleauLive Theater, live music inside Nowhere, and the Rodeo Quincy fashion and brunch experience.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is focusing on a retreat experience close to the Thomas & Mack Center. The property is offering nightly concerts in its venues by popular country artists, including The Red Clay Strays and Sam Barber, and daily complimentary viewing parties. Exclusive events include “Fringe and Fortune,” a luxury Western fashion and art gathering, and the “All in For Champions Celebrity Blackjack Tournament” benefiting pediatric cancer research. The resort also features an exclusive butcher block dining experience at Lucia Mexican Grill and custom hat fittings at a pop-up hat bar.

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is celebrating with unique themed activations, both high and low. The resort will host its annual “Pink Party” on December 8, encouraging guests to dress in pink for a charitable event held 1,149 feet up in the iconic Tower, which will be illuminated for the evening. Dining outlets will serve Western-inspired items, such as the Outlaw Platter at McCall’s Grill. Gaming enthusiasts can participate in the $25,000 “Cowboy Up Slot Tournament,” and bars will feature special deals on beer and whiskey shots throughout the rodeo period.

Downtown Features Rodeo Competitions

The Downtown Las Vegas scene is providing both retail convenience and free rodeo competitions.

The Plaza Hotel & Casino

The Plaza Hotel & Casino is hosting a series of free NFR activities at its outdoor CORE Arena from December 4 through 13. These free events include competitions like the Cowboy Town Showdown and the Rope for the Crown Breakaway Championship. The hotel also hosts the Downtown Christmas Expo, a significant shopping event for Western wear, and offers special services like equine stall rentals for rodeo participants. Nightly, the Plaza hosts two free watch parties, including a family-friendly version in the showroom and an adult VIP party at the Sand Dollar Downtown.
