Las Vegas Thrill Rides

Las Vegas Thrill Rides

The Las Vegas skyline has certainly evolved over the years. While it’s expanded dramatically, there are also some fun new additions perfect for families and those searching for a thrill.

The Best Thrill Rides in Vegas

Las Vegas is home to a selection of rollercoasters, zip lines and exhilarating rides perfect for any thrill seeker. Check out our list below of great options that will make you scream.

The STRAT Skypod

If you’re in the mood for unlimited thrills, visit the top of the tower at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Skypod. The three rides up here are not built for the faint of heart. Big Shot shoots riders up to the very top of the tower at 45 miles per hour. Insanity spins seated guests out over the edge of the building for an unobstructed view over 900-feet below. X-Scream dangles riders 27-feet over the edge of the tower and back again. If you’re looking for the ultimate thrill, try Skyjump and take a trip off the edge of the 108th floor of The STRAT. Ride passes with the observation deck start at $39 plus taxes and fees (one ride on Insanity, X-Scream and Big Shot each). An unlimited option starts at $49 plus taxes and fees.

All in Aviation

The biggest thrill in Las Vegas comes in the form of a serious bucket list item—flying a plane. At All in Aviation, you can learn to fly and experience the thrill of piloting your own plane. The flight school gives visitors and locals the chance to fly over the Hoover Dam while learning how to operate the airplane. Feeling nervous? Don’t worry—the Cirrus planes used at All in Aviation are top of the line and even come with their own full-frame parachutes for emergencies. Flight lesson packages start at $800 (you can even bring a couple of friends for the experience).

Slotzilla Zipline

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be launched from a giant slot machine? No? Well, in Las Vegas, you can live out that strange but unique experience. Slotzilla is conveniently located in the middle of the Fremont Street Experience and offers visitors a chance to soar over the historical properties and neon lights. Slotzilla provides two types of rides for two different experiences. The “Zilla-Zilla” is seated, seven stories high, travels two blocks and starts at $39 plus taxes and fees. The “Super-Hero Zoom” is eleven stories high, spans five blocks, is “superhero-style” (face down for the best view) and starts at $59 plus taxes and fees.

FlyOver in Las Vegas

The newest attraction in Las Vegas is located right on the Strip. FlyOver in Las Vegas combines the excitement of a thrill ride with the safety and innovation of your favorite Disney experiences. In fact, FlyOver in Las Vegas was actually created by the brain who brought Soarin to our favorite parks. Located in the Showcase Mall, FlyOver in Las Vegas provides two experiences—Iceland and The Real Wild West. Both rides have the same glider design and massive screens that bring you into the scenery. The smells and mists of nature allow riders to truly immerse themselves in the voyages, and you’ll never believe you’re still in Las Vegas. Tickets start at $34 for adults and $24 for children plus taxes and fees.

High Roller

Perhaps the most prominent newer member of our lovely skyline is the High Roller. Once the tallest observation wheel in the world, the High Roller provides stunning skyline views from every angle. Located in the Linq Promenade, the ride is slow enough for those who may be uncomfortable with heights but thrilling enough for those in search of some excitement. Tickets start at $34.75 for adults and $17.50 for children plus taxes and fees.
