Hollywood Beach, in particular, holds a special place in her heart, a destination where her family created cherished traditions.

Q. What are some of your favorite places to visit in South Florida?

A. Definitely Hollywood Beach is one of the best-kept secrets in Florida. My family and I used to go there all the time! It was a fun family tradition to spend a day there. We would go to a place called Angelo’s Corner and grab some pizza. We would also rent some banana bikes and hang around the Broadwalk, eat some ice cream and relax. I love Hollywood, California, but the beaches by home are amazing and I can’t forget them! I have many fond memories of that time in my life and love to go back home.

A. I would say try not to overpack. OK, it’s funny that I am saying that because I am literally the queen of overpacking! My mom and I, we leave for a weekend and have three suitcases. A. Best Friend’s Brother! I wrote it based on true experience, and it’s a fun song. People chant with me when I sing the BFB! hook. I also love Make It in America. Q. Who are some of your musical inspirations?

A. I really do have the taste of a 45-year-old woman in music, no joke! I love Cher, Barry Manilow, The Beatles, Hall and Oates, and Elton John. I actually met him (Elton John), and I saw him perform seven songs live in an intimate setting, and it truly thrilled me! The tone of his voice is amazing, and the fact that he’s a singer-songwriter floors me. I want to follow that path, and I have a vision for that… I love writing my own music and would love to be seen as a singer-songwriter as well. I really look up to that.
