Fat Sal’s Deli reimagines the classic American sandwich experience with a bold and inventive twist. Established by friends passionate about delicious food, Fat Sal’s dishes out massive, flavor-packed sandwiches that defy conventional expectations. “My Co-Founder, Joshua Stone, and I both moved to Los Angeles from New York and realized that we couldn’t get the kind of food we wanted to eat,” Salvatore Capek, Co-Founder, told us. “We quickly became close friends over our shared love for delicious food, so we decided to bring over-the-top, mouthwatering sandwiches to Los Angeles, and now Las  Vegas.”

Whether you’re a fan of cheesesteaks, loaded hoagies, or unique takes on traditional comfort foods, their menu promises a satisfying adventure for even the most discerning of palates. “Customers appreciate novelty, whether it’s a creative presentation, a modern twist on a classic sandwich, or a unique flavor they can’t find elsewhere. We try to create menu items that stand out and create buzz. Our team meets regularly to review the current menu items and discuss potential new ones,” Capek said of the menu. “Some customer favorites include the Fat Sal, Pastrami Western Burger, and the  Buffalo Chicken Cheese Fries. These menu items excite and engage customers because of their unique ingredients and flavor combinations that hit home with their familiar tastes.”

Beyond just sandwiches, Fat Sal’s has cultivated a vibrant, laid-back atmosphere perfect for gatherings with friends or grabbing a tasty bite on the go and a commitment to using the freshest ingredients. “A sandwich begins with the bread, and ours is baked fresh daily,” Capek said of the sandwiches and the restaurants’ use of fresh ingredients. “Also, we make it a priority to source all ingredients from reliable suppliers who deliver high-quality, fresh products.  Our kitchen staff conducts frequent quality checks to identify any issues, and if any issues are found, we quickly address them.”

With its creative concoctions and vibrant energy, Fat Sal’s has become a go-to destination for locals and visitors who crave something extraordinary in each bite. “We have learned that customers gravitate toward food that delivers rich, balanced and memorable flavors,” Capek said of what sets Fat Sal’s apart from its competitors. “At Fat Sal’s, we turn ordinary sandwiches, burgers and fries into our signature, over-the-top,  mouthwatering creations that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Now, the big name for sandwiches has made the move to Las Vegas, with its latest location right on Fremont Street. “Our biggest challenge while expanding is finding and building great locations that reflect the same atmosphere, values and overall customer experience. Patrons return to places where they can trust that their favorite dish will be made to the same high standard every time. Consistency in the atmosphere, taste, portion size and presentation builds loyalty,” Capek said of the out-of-state expansion. Fortunately, palates are similar between the two cities. “We believe the Los Angeles customers and the Las Vegas customers are similar. Both are savvy when it comes to service and quality of food. Currently, our menu items are consistent across both areas; however, we encourage our Las Vegas guests to frequently check back for Vegas-inspired offerings.”
