Located in Summerlin, JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa is a haven and relaxing retreat for both locals and visitors alike. The world-class property recently rolled out numerous changes at the onsite spa, Spa Aquae.
The recent renovations to the full-service spa include a refresh to the locker rooms, relaxation lounge, salon and spa facilities, including the sauna and steam rooms. The fitness center has also received a facelift with updated equipment. Visitors can now enjoy the new hydrotherapy pool—the perfect complement to any treatments and services they’ll partake in throughout their spa journey.
Among the new offerings at Spa Aquae is the HydraFacial. The treatment utilizes new technology to help hydrate skin and deliver a complete facial without the downtime (or redness) often required after traditional facial treatments. The Gentlemen’s Tonic provides new shave treatments for men.
We were invited in to have a look at the facilities and get a sneak peek at the new offerings the spa will have for visitors. We also talked with Joni Torres, Spa Sales and Operations Manager at Spa Aquae, about the recent rejuvenating changes for guests and visitors.

What brought the HydraFacial to JW Marriott Las Vegas?
Torres: We wanted to be able to offer an experience that provides visible results, and the HydraFacial is amazing. Partnering with HydraFacial allows us to treat guests’ skincare concerns while offering an amazing facial that is gentle and effective. It’s like a miracle machine!
How would you best describe the process to someone who is completely unfamiliar?
Torres: The HydraFacial uses patented technology to create instantly radiant skin in just three steps: cleanse, extract and hydrate. The HydraFacial then uses super serums made with nourishing ingredients that create an instantly gratifying glow delivering immediate, noticeable results that require no social downtime.
What makes the HydraFacial truly unique, in your opinion?
Torres: The vortex-fusion technology allows impurities to easily be removed from the skin while simultaneously delivering hydrating serums. Let’s also not forget the painless extractions, removing impurities, and when we don’t exfoliate, our skin can appear dry and dull, so this process provides proper exfoliations and allows our skin to look hydrated and dewy.
Can you tell us about the spa renovations and what your favorite improvements are?
Torres: I love all of the spaces being introduced for couples; we are now able to offer many of our treatments side-by-side, such as facials and body treatments. Your couples’ experience continues in our outdoor Hydro Lounge, which features the hydrotherapy pool space where you can take in amazing green scenery and rejuvenate together. It’s very relaxing and has a new cabana-style area where you can lounge, order a juice and a bite to eat, and just connect.
