Spiegelworld Set to Expand in Las Vegas With DiscoShow
“DiscoShow is a total reinvention of what live entertainment in Las Vegas can be. We are currently creating a purpose-built venue like no other that will wrap you in LED imagery, lights and sound from the floor to the walls to disco heaven,” Ross Mollison, Impresario Extraordinaire at Spiegelworld, told us. “You’ll enter from the Las Vegas Strip through a guitar shop and zoom back to New York City 1974 to experience the people, the food, the drinks, and most importantly, the music, that made it one of the most creative periods in our cultural history which still reverberates today.”
Spiegelworld’s current Las Vegas shows are characterized by raunchy humor, death-defying performances, and the intimate spaces that make up the theaters. “As the world gets bigger and bigger, Spiegelworld gets smaller and smaller,” Mollison explained. “DiscoShow is not about the size; it’s about the concentration of energy. It will be the most intense, fun experience Vegas has ever seen.:
Thematic elements are noticeable throughout each of Spiegelworld’s shows, and DiscoShow promises to follow suit. “Just like Steve Rubell used to curate his party guests at Studio 54’s velvet rope, DiscoShow will be casting widely for people who bring a unique physical energy, personality and sense of fun,” Mollison said of the experience. “When you come to DiscoShow, you’ll get to personally meet all these people, and you’ll want to interact with every one of them.”
Audiences are in for a treat when DiscoShow makes its debut in 2024. So what can viewers expect from Spiegelworld’s newest production? “One word. Disco,” Mollison hinted. “People who loved this music in the 70s will fall in love with it all over again. People who didn’t grow up with the tunes are going to go nuts at the way we bring it all to life.”
