Washington D.C. offers varied ways to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, moving beyond traditional home gatherings to encompass chef-prepared feasts, waterfront dining, and lively group entertainment. Whether seeking a sophisticated dining experience, an easy takeout meal, or a competitive Friendsgiving celebration, D.C.’s venues provide diverse options for all tastes.

1. The Elevated Holiday Feast

Several distinguished restaurants are offering luxurious dining experiences for the holiday, ensuring a memorable, stress-free meal. The Pembroke offers a three-course prix-fixe dinner service from noon until 8 p.m., priced at $135 per person, or $55 for children. Meanwhile, Fish & Fire Food Group has two exceptional waterfront options: The Point DC is serving a family-style, three-course menu featuring upscale items like Crab Doughnuts and Pepper Crusted Prime Rib, and Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place is hosting “Thanksgiving on the Potomac,” complete with a holiday carving station of Herb Roast Turkey, Honey Glazed Ham, and Prime Rib, alongside classic holiday sides. In Reston, Virginia, SEVEN Restaurant will also celebrate the holiday (open 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) by featuring a special holiday main course: a Roasted Turkey Breast served alongside seasonal ingredients like butternut squash, pomme purée, maple brussels sprouts, and a cranberry orange sauce for $35.

2. Take-Home Comfort and Dessert Specials

For those hosting at home, several venues offer chef-prepared meals and specialty desserts to simplify the holiday. Fish & Fire Food Group offers the convenient Thanksgiving Feast To Go, a complete, ready-to-heat meal available for pickup or delivery on Thursday, November 27th. Additionally, The Pembroke is running a “Pies & Wines” promotion, allowing guests to pre-order classic holiday desserts such as Apple, Bourbon Pecan, or Pumpkin Pie for pickup starting November 26th. Patrons can purchase the pie separately for $15, or opt for a bundled deal with a bottle of wine or bubbles.

3. Friendsgiving Fun and Games

For friends looking to celebrate with competition rather than a traditional sit-down meal, Flight Club DC is the ideal spot for a spirited Friendsgiving celebration. Known for its combination of interactive darts, creative cocktails, and group entertainment, Flight Club is fully equipped for a festive celebration. Instead of a classic dinner party, groups can participate in Tournament Play, guided by expert Games Masters, and enjoy a selection of shareable appetizers and fall-themed drinks, guaranteeing an evening of friendly rivalry and good cheer.

The festive dining continues into the weekend. Peruvian restaurant Pisco y Nazca is offering a special Black Friday brunch on Friday, November 28th, across its three DMV locations (Washington DC, Bethesda, and Reston). Guests can enhance their brunch with bottomless mimosas and sangrias for an additional $23 per person. Furthermore, Pisco y Nazca is running a holiday gift card promotion available until December 31st: for every $100 gift card purchased, guests will receive a $20 bonus card valid for use during the first quarter of 2026.
