Launched in 1998, TRL was broadcast from MTV’s studio overlooking Times Square, attracting hordes of fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite music stars and celebrities. This daily live show became a cultural phenomenon, shaping the music taste of a generation and making Times Square an epicenter for youth culture and entertainment in the 90s.
Today, Times Square continues to evolve, reflecting the dynamic changes of New York City.
