The Best Steakhouses in Las Vegas

Restaurants frequently change in Las Vegas with rebranding and menu updates, so it can be challenging to figure out the best places to go. See below for our growing list of the best steakhouses for a meat lover’s dining experience both on and off the Las Vegas Strip.

Gordon Ramsay Steak

Steak-loving fans of “Hell’s Kitchen” can enjoy some of Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay’s specialties at Gordon Ramsay Steak inside Paris Las Vegas. Here, you’ll find prime steaks, American Wagyu and Japanese A5 Wagyu on the menu, so you’ll know it’s some of the best quality you can find. If you’re feeling indulgent, try the restaurant’s tasting menu, including British favorites like the Scotch eggs and the sticky toffee pudding. If you’re in a bit of a rush, you can order to-go via the Paris Las Vegas website.

Carversteak

We recently checked out Carversteak inside Resorts World Las Vegas for a hosted media dinner to see if the food lived up to the hype (it did). The newest steakhouse on the Strip combines cheeky design (check out that Cookie Monster portrait), sleek interiors and playful spins on classic dishes. From the knife presentation (you get to pick your dinner weapon) to the Instagrammable plating (the crab cakes are an absolute delight), diners can expect the unexpected. From the “Wagyu Cheesesteak Bites” to the “Caviar Poppers,” the starters alone provide a fun twist to a classic dinner. While Carversteak is clearly a steakhouse, make sure to check out the fantastic seafood offerings (the Lobster En Croûte is a fan favorite). If you saved room for dessert and are in the mood to share, order the highly Instagrammable “Baked Nevada.”

One Steakhouse

The sophisticated One Steakhouse is located at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (the new steakhouse took over the former space of MB Steak). In addition to a selection of great steaks (like the bone-in filet mignon), you’ll find a wide variety of seafood entrees and chilled seafood.

The centerpiece of the bar area sets the mood for your meal with color-changing LED lights that cast a glow over the space. “This is over 3,000 pieces of glass,” the Morton brothers told us, “What you’ll typically get in a meal will usually be two colors. If you’re here for a long time, you might see three colors.”

Barry’s Downtown Prime

We were recently invited to a hosted media dinner at Barry’s Downtown Prime; however, local foodies have been raving about the downtown spot since it opened. Located inside Circa Resort & Casino, the steakhouse blends all the sophistication of a great steakhouse with some fantastic vintage Vegas ambiance and amazing cuts of meat. The restaurant is hidden in plain sight, right underneath Vegas Vicky (you definitely can’t miss her). On the menu, diners will find a fun variety of starters (the lobster and shrimp potstickers), plenty of shareable cuts (like the 40-ounce Tomahawk Ribeye Steak) and one of the largest selections of steakhouse sides we’ve ever seen. Make sure to save room for one of the indulgent (and large) desserts.

Bazaar Meat

The unique Bazaar Meat by José Andrés is located inside SAHARA Las Vegas. This wild and wonderful celebration of meat features the most extensive selections we’ve ever seen in Las Vegas—the starters list offers up three different caviar flights, numerous types of tartare, oysters, carpaccios (including bison) and cured meats. Then come the big guys from the fire pit—two types of Spanish-style, bone-in rib eye, and the pièce de résistance: a suckling pig, available whole or by the quarter.

Steaks here are categorized by size (some are priced per pound), and there are various wagyu options on the “Tasting Through Japan” portion of the menu. If you’re feeling adventurous (and splurgy), try one of the restaurant’s tasting menus for genuine culinary exploration.

Twin Creeks

Twin Creeks inside Silverton Casino has been a local staple for years. We recently visited for a hosted media dinner to experience the refreshed menu and space (the restaurant reopened recently after a lengthy closure). The laidback design provides the perfect backdrop for a low-key night on the town (especially when you don’t feel like venturing to the Strip). Its proximity to the Strip and several local neighborhoods also makes Twin Creeks a perfect destination for visitors and regulars. In addition to the numerous cuts on the menu, diners can enjoy a variety of imaginative items that you might expect to find at an upscale Strip location (but without the upscale Strip prices). The fun plating and decadent flavors add to the illusion that you’re somewhere with a higher price tag (you’ll be pleasantly surprised that you’re not).

STK Steakhouse

This stylish steakhouse is located inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and brings some of the plushest dining room sets you’ll find in a steakhouse. The steaks at STK Steakhouse are categorized by size (for instance, the New York Strip is in the medium category) to cater to different appetites.

The restaurant also has numerous seafood options if anyone in your party is leaning pescatarian. If you’re running low on time (or funds), stop by for cocktail hour when the restaurant features half-priced specialty cocktails and $7 menu items on weekdays (Monday-Thursday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.). You’ll also find an extensive wine list at STK Steakhouse, perfect for pairing the ideal red wine with your steak.

The Steakhouse at Circus Circus

One of the most lauded steakhouses in Las Vegas is actually a hidden gem. The Steakhouse at Circus Circus Las Vegas has been voted Best of Las Vegas for more than 20 years by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and was recently named the top steakhouse in Vegas by Zagat.

The award-winning restaurant features mesquite-grilled steaks (the grill uses approximately 200 pounds of mesquite wood charcoal from Mexico each night), prime rib, lobster and crab legs in a traditional steakhouse setting complemented by impeccable service.

Heritage Steak at The Mirage

Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is a true meat lover’s paradise. Helmed by celebrity chef and restaurateur Tom Colicchio, the restaurant specializes in wood-fired, dry-aged beef, featuring prime cuts of beef from top-quality producers and farms. Diners can choose from a wide array of dishes, including ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, and porterhouse, all cooked to perfection and served with a variety of creative and delicious sides. In addition to its stunning menu, Heritage Steak also boasts an impressive wine list featuring a selection of bottles from some of the world’s most renowned wine regions.

Joe Vicari’s Andiamo Italian Steakhouse

Located inside The D Las VegasJoe Vicari’s Andiamo Italian Steakhouse combines chophouse classics and traditional Italian cuisine. We visited during a hosted media dinner and were delighted by the sleek booths and classic vibes of the dining room. The menu features the best of both worlds with a variety of pasta dishes and seafood specials alongside the menu of numerous cuts. The sides are family-style sizes, so be sure to order accordingly.

Golden Steer Steakhouse

This local favorite has been around since the 50s. With three prime rib cuts, Golden Steer Steakhouse is frequently noted as the best local steakhouse in Las Vegas. Besides steaks, the restaurant also has numerous seafood and Italian entrees (like the Dover sole that is boned tableside or the famous Chicken of the Angels) with a la carte and combination dinner options. Out of town and hoping for your fix? Golden Steer also ships nationwide.

Gallagher’s Steakhouse

Located inside New York-New YorkGallagher’s Steakhouse is the quintessential New York steakhouse modeled after the original from Manhattan that opened in 1927. Here, you’ll find prime rib and numerous wet-aged and dry-aged steaks along with a classic raw bar and various classic seafood appetizers. Pair your prime rib with one of many accompaniments like the King Crab Oscar or sides such as the colossal baked potato.
