There’s plenty to do in this upscale neighborhood, and that can make it difficult to plan your visit. Of course, you’ll start your day with the Breakfast of Champions at littleSpoon, but then what? To help you out, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite hangouts.

Eat

There’s plenty to munch on in Myers Park; from the self-proclaimed “break[feast]” at littleSpoon Eatery, where ever-changing menu items are whipped up using locally sourced ingredients, to the delicious to-go deli items (and freshly filled cannoli) served at Pasta & Provisions, a carb-lover’s paradise.

Shop

Navigate over to Map Shop. You can’t miss this purveyor of maps, travel guides, Charlotte-centric gear, pins, globes and more; just look for flags fluttering in the breeze out front. Then stop by The Sporting Gent to stock up on Southern styles and Paper Twist, for cute stationery to send home.

Drink

If you grab a drink in this neck of the woods, you’re in for a treat. Angry Ales is a great place to catch the game and enjoy a wide selection of brews. If cocktails are more your style, Providence Road Sundries provides. Go hyperlocal and try the Myers Park Mule. Or, make your way to Selwyn Avenue Pub for a beer.

Play

Traveling with kids? Bring them to Discovery Place Nature to explore a Butterfly Pavilion, and see a show in its planetarium. Then, bundle up and stroll along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. When date night rolls around, view a variety of works at Anne Neilson Fine Art Gallery, then head to Theatre Charlotte for a local production.
