You love nature, but the thought of pitching a tent and hauling all your camping gear is not the most appealing one. You are not alone. For all “in-tents” and purposes, camping is lying on the ground outside, with few accomodations other than a picnic table and a fire ring. Not everyone’s cup of tea. You can, however, do this in style. Enter ‘glamping,’ a fusion of the words’ glamorous camping,” which allows one to connect with nature and bring the luxuries of home with you. Here are some of the best glamping locations where you can rough it like royalty.

Great Glamping in America

Under Canvas Zion

Don’t be fooled by the name—this destination is more than just a canvas tent. Zion National Park is the country’s third most visited national park and should be on every nature-lovers list of adventures. It is home to thousand-foot canyons and gorgeous red rock vistas. Under Canvas Zion offers a glamping experience like no other, with spectacular views of the majestic Zion rocks. Several luxury tents are available with fireplaces, bathrooms with showers and toilets, private decks, and comfortable king-size beds.

It is filled with Joshua Trees, gorgeous rock formations, unique wildlife, spectacular sunrise and sunsets, and was the inspiration for the wildly famous U2 album, ‘Joshua Tree.’ Castle House Estate was featured on HGTV and is the Booking.com Traveler Review Rewards winner. Located minutes from the national park, accommodation options include a yurt, RV or white guard towers from where Castle House Estate gets its name. The buildings include televisions and WiFi, and there is also an outdoor pool.
