Coney Island USA is south Brooklyn’s most unique not-for-profit arts organization. Located in the heart of the iconic amusement district, their landmarked, 1917 building is festooned with colorful sideshow banners – with a modern twist. Inside, you’ll find the Sideshows by The Seashore Theater, home of the world famous Coney Island Circus Sideshow; the Coney Island Museum – the only accredited institution dedicated to presenting and preserving the history of the “People’s Playground”; and the legendary Freak Bar. The organization also produces the annual Mermaid Parade, the nation’s largest art parade, and one of NYC’s “must-see” events!

From spring through the fall, the Coney Island Circus Sideshow thrills audiences with incredible family-friendly entertainment, with acts ranging from sword swallowing stunts and aerial feats to fire eating and so much more! These real life human daredevils will amaze and amuse audiences of all ages.
The Coney Island Museum offers a glimpse into the amusement district’s fun and fascinating past, featuring the largest collection of vintage signage, ephemera, and historical artifacts on view to the public. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the Museum also hosts special exhibitions and lectures on Coney Island’s history and impact.

But the fun doesn’t stop once the sun goes down! Burlesque At the Beach, drag reviews, variety shows, film screenings, and music programming are just some of the exciting programming that Coney Island USA offers.
The Freak Bar is considered the coolest and friendliest spot in Coney Island to grab a craft beer, wine or soft drink. Its colorful and neighborhood-centric decor is a treat for the eyes, and you never know which Coney Island characters you’ll bump into there. There’s also a Gift Shop where you can purchase tee-shirts, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind works from local artists.
