Cosmopolitan Las Vegas: A Concierge’s Must-Do List

A Local Concierge’s Inside Look at Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

After growing up in Henderson—a suburb of Las Vegas—Natalee Simmons, a concierge at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas knows a thing or two about the city. We asked her to share some of her top picks for Las Vegas, and she delivered.

What to do at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and Beyond

Tell me about one of your favorite places to send first-time Vegas visitors.

I love to send guests staying at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas to The High Roller at The LINQ Promenade. I always recommend they take the 30-minute ride during sunset. Visitors would never guess that we have some of the most beautiful sunsets in Las Vegas because of our surrounding mountains. It’s a great way to see the valley and the sparking lights of the Strip.

I want to update my Facebook photo. What should I have in the background of my selfie?

You have to take a selfie with The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan. Las Vegas has bright lights, but these sparkling crystals will be a gorgeous background and the lighting will make you look like a million bucks.

Tell me about your favorite hidden gem in Las Vegas.

Secret Pizza. Although I don’t think it’s so much of a secret any more.

Where should I eat if I want to celebrate a special occasion? How hard is it to get a reservation while I’m in Las Vegas?

I love Estiatorio Milos. The cuisine, dining experience and service is always on point.

Tell us the most unusual request you’ve had when people ask what to do at The Cosmopolitan?

Las Vegas brings out many crazy requests. I think one of the most random requests we have had was when a guest requested a monkey and a mariachi band to play in the room for a birthday party. Oftentimes guests want the Hangover experience until they realize the cost.

Who is your favorite Las Vegas celebrity chef?

José Andrés.

I want to experience classic Las Vegas. Where do you recommend that I go?

I definitely like to recommend the Downtown/Fremont area and The Neon Museum for the nostalgic Las Vegas feel.

Where do you like to do some people-watching in Las Vegas?

This goes hand in hand with the classic Las Vegas area. People watching can be fun anywhere in the surrounding areas but Fremont Street takes the cake on that one.

What’s the must-see show in Las Vegas right now?

For the adult crowd, “Absinthe” is the best!

What tips do you give first-timers who are staying at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas?

Be prepared to walk a lot. Visitors underestimate the amount of walking they will do because the hotels seem so much closer than they are. Also, hydrate hydrate, hydrate…especially in the summer months.

Describe your perfect evening out in Las Vegas.

My favorite evening would be very similar to the itineraries I build for my guests. It would include a cocktails before a show to start out the night. I would take my time to enjoy beautiful dinner at one of the many restaurants in The Cosmopolitan (probably Scarpetta because of the views).
