Dazzling Displays and Unique Experiences

ZooLights offers spectacular visuals and interactive elements designed to delight visitors of all ages, ensuring a memorable evening of holiday cheer.

  • Attractions and Scenery: Guests can enjoy stunning aerial views of the glowing landscape from the towering Ferris Wheel or stroll through the expansive light tunnel on the Main Mall. The Pepper Family Wildlife Center is converted into the North Pole for visits with Santa Claus, complete with a holiday tree and festive decor. The zoo also features professional ice carvers and roaming Victorian carolers on selected evenings.
  • New in 2025: This season introduces Zooltide, a newly designed light show on the South Lawn that offers narration in both English and Spanish, and an interactive screening of the holiday film Elf with props and games in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse.
  • Support and Ticketing: Ticket proceeds directly fund the zoo’s global conservation efforts and animal care, helping to keep the institution free to the public year-round. For the first time, guests can purchase a $20 Flexible Admission ticket that can be used on any day of the season, helping avoid sellouts, in addition to the traditional date-specific tickets (priced from $7 to $12). Complimentary admission is offered on most Mondays, but advance registration is required.
