The Backstreet Boys Bring Pop to Las Vegas’s Most Immersive Venue
Backstreet’s back in Las Vegas, but this time, it’s Larger Than Life in every sense of the word. The iconic boy band has launched its highly anticipated Into the Millennium residency at Sphere, becoming The One and only pop act to headline the revolutionary venue (at least, so far). This show is a nostalgic journey back to the golden age of pop, celebrating their seminal 1999 album, Millennium, while fully leveraging Sphere’s groundbreaking immersive technology. Running for select dates through February 2026, this residency is more than just a concert; it’s a cosmic voyage designed to transport fans directly into the heart of Y2K pop perfection.

A Galactic Voyage Through Their Greatest Hits
The Into the Millennium residency is a cohesive, spacefaring concept show that weaves together the band’s career-defining hits and beloved deep cuts. Check out all the details here for what to expect on your journey back to the Millennium!
A Nostalgic Journey to Y2K
The show’s theme is a direct nod to their iconic Millennium album, and the visuals are a spectacle of cosmic storytelling. The performance opens with a countdown and “blastoff,” launching the audience into a surreal, interstellar time warp. The setlist is a carefully curated assortment of fan favorites from other albums, in addition to the full performance of Millennium (some songs are performed in a medley and not as a full track). Beyond the hits, the show features songs from across their career, including their first-ever live performance of their new single, “Hey.” Fans can expect a dynamic, high-energy performance with multiple costume changes and choreography that is still as sharp as ever.

The Sphere Experience: Immersive Technology Enhances Every Beat
The Sphere in Las Vegas is a game-changing venue, and the Backstreet Boys’ residency is designed to take full advantage of its unique technological capabilities. The 18,600-seat arena is built to deliver a full-sensory experience that goes far beyond a traditional concert. The venue is extremely immersive (almost frighteningly so at times), and you’ll feel every bit of it in ways you’ve never experienced at a concert.
Mind-Bending Visuals and 4D Effects
At the heart of The Sphere’s experience is its massive 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen. The 160,000-square-foot screen, the largest and highest-resolution in the world, turns the venue into a breathtaking visual canvas. Throughout the show, the visuals are meticulously synchronized with the music, creating stunning projections of galaxies, abstract art, and even giant, dancing holographic avatars of the band members. In addition to the visuals, the venue utilizes 4D sensory enhancements, including wind effects during songs like “Siberia,” and haptic technology that makes seats vibrate with the music. The advanced audio system, with its 167,000 speakers, ensures a personalized, crystal-clear sound experience for every single attendee.

Tickets and Planning Your Trip
The Into the Millennium residency is a limited engagement that has proven to be an instant sensation, drawing fans from around the globe. Due to overwhelming demand, three additional show dates were added in May. The residency runs for a total of 21 shows on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through August 24, 2025.
The listed showtime is 8:00 p.m., but the performance begins shortly after (shows on opening weekend started at around 8:45 p.m.). It’s recommended to arrive early to navigate the venue and avoid lines. You can easily get an idea of how long you have before start time with the digital clock display on the Sphere itself once you’re seated. This will give you a basic idea of how much time you have to run to the bathroom or grab that last-minute snack!
General Admission on the floor puts you closest to the action, but sections in the 200s are often considered the “sweet spot” for a full, unobstructed view of the immersive screen. There isn’t a bad seat in the house since the Sphere is, well, Sphere-shaped. Even if your view of the band is slightly obstructed, you’ll be able to see the screen from pretty much any angle.
The Sphere’s interior can feel chilly compared to the Las Vegas desert heat, so bring a sweater. Comfortable shoes are a must, as it is a large venue with a lot of walking. Check the parking info in advance to avoid any unnecessary extra walking! The shape of the Sphere (not my heart) can cause some disorientation when descending the stairs. This can be alleviated by looking down at the stairs and holding the handrail.
For an extra dose of nostalgia, fans can visit the Backstreet Boys Terminal, a free pop-up experience at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. This collaboration with Vibee is open Thursday to Sunday on concert weekends and offers a dedicated space for fans to gather and celebrate the band’s legacy. It’s highly recommended to arrive early, especially on weekends, as many fans visit the Terminal right before heading to the show, making for a busy and lively atmosphere. If you’re looking for additional ways to enjoy the Backstreet Boys’ Las Vegas takeover, visit Black Tap for the “Quit Playing Games With My Marg,” see the BSB shrunken heads at The Golden Tiki, or book tickets for the Backstreet Boys’ exclusive afterparties at Voltaire.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer to their music, the Backstreet Boys’ Into the Millennium residency at The Sphere offers a spectacular blend of pop nostalgia and futuristic technology. It’s an unforgettable celebration of their legacy and a must-see Las Vegas event.
