How to Spend a Day in The Battery

Located at the southern tip of Manhattan, The Battery offers various engaging activities and attractions for visitors. Start your visit with a ride on the enchanting SeaGlass Carousel, where you can immerse yourself in a luminous marine-themed experience. Just a short walk away, The Skyscraper Museum provides fascinating insights into New York City’s iconic skyline and its architectural marvels. Nearby, the National Museum of the American Indian showcases rich indigenous cultures and histories, while the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust offers a poignant exploration of Jewish life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Don’t forget to visit the Statue of Liberty Vista Point for a stunning view of the iconic monument. Many of the tour boats to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island depart from Battery Park, offering visitors a chance to explore these world-famous landmarks up close. Within the park, Battery Gardens offers stunning waterfront views and a delightful menu featuring fresh seafood and contemporary American cuisine. Just a stone’s throw away; pizza enthusiasts can relish mouth-watering pies at nearby spots like Inatteso Pizzabar. For those craving Mediterranean flavors, NAYA, located on the other side of Battery Park, serves up delicious Lebanese dishes. Barbecue lovers can head to Route 66 Smokehouse for some hearty smoked meats, while Italian fare is best enjoyed at Serafina. History buffs and foodies alike will appreciate Fraunces Tavern, a historic establishment that functions both as a restaurant and a museum.
