Amazing Anaheim

Uncle Walt deemed it “The Happiest Place on Earth,” and that was long before Disney’s California Adventure and Downtown Disney joined Disneyland to form the deliriously happy Disneyland Resort. These days, virtually all of Anaheim has us smiling. You might not know this, but Anaheim is actually home to so much more than just the brilliant theme parks that put the city on the map. With its vibrant sports scene, headlined by MLB’s Angels and the NHL’s Ducks, diverse dining experiences, and a flourishing craft brewery scene, the city is a mosaic of cultural attractions. Add to this the historical sites peppered throughout, like the Anaheim Packing District, and it’s clear: Anaheim is a city where every visit promises new discoveries and unforgettable memories.

There’s A Whole Lot More to Anaheim Than Theme Parks

While there’s definitely a world of places to visit in Anaheim, we would be remiss if we didn’t start with… the theme parks. Disneyland Resort is a magical destination in California that invites guests of all ages to explore its enchanting theme parks and lively shopping district. At Disneyland Park, you’ll step into a world of wonder with classic attractions, beloved Disney characters, and dazzling parades. Journey through eight themed lands, including the futuristic Tomorrowland and the adventurous Adventureland, each brimming with thrilling rides and immersive experiences. Just a short walk away, Disney California Adventure Park offers another universe of excitement with attractions inspired by Disney and Pixar stories. Here, you can soar over the world on the breathtaking Soarin’ Around the World or race through Radiator Springs in Cars Land. Don’t forget to visit Downtown Disney, a bustling area filled with unique shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. This lively promenade is the perfect spot to relax, dine, and find the perfect souvenir to remember your Disneyland adventure.

Within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort is The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk. The shopping plaza is filled with shops, dining options, and plenty of entertainment perfect for the whole family. Catch a show at House of Blues Anaheim, knock down pins at Bowlero, or grab a bite at one of the many restaurants (they’ve got plenty of nationally recognized spots and some delightful local names too).

Anaheim is a sports haven. The Los Angeles Angels, known for their fiery spirit and thrilling games, are a beacon of excitement in the world of baseball. Nestled in the heart of Anaheim, their home, Angel Stadium, stands as a testament to the love and dedication of baseball fans in the region. With its iconic “Big A” sign and the rock fountain beyond center field, the stadium is more than just a sports venue; it’s a place where memories are made under the bright lights. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun day out, a game at Angels Stadium promises entertainment, camaraderie, and, of course, the thrill of watching the Angels go for another win.

On the other side of the 57 Freeway is the Honda Center, where the Anaheim Ducks NHL hockey team is based. Honda Center is an expansive arena renowned for its capacity to host not only high-stakes hockey games but also a variety of entertainment events, including concerts. The ambiance inside the Honda Center during a game is electrifying, with palpable excitement and a vibrant energy that engulfs attendees, making it an exceptional venue for aficionados of sports and entertainment alike.
