Gaylord Hotels ICE! Returns: Christmas Ice Sculptures and Events

Gaylord Hotels nationwide are inviting guests to step into the holiday season with the return of the signature ICE! Christmas experience, featuring more than two million pounds of meticulously hand-carved ice sculptures at five of its branded Gaylord resorts. These walk-through winter wonderlands, kept at a constant 9 degrees Fahrenheit, bring cherished holiday stories to life through over 10 immersive scenes, thrilling 2-story ice slides, and awe-inspiring passageways, with themes varying by location, such as “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and The Polar Express.

A Nationwide Frozen Wonderland

The spectacular frozen displays are created by 40 artisans over nearly a month, who use techniques passed down through generations to sculpt over 6,000 blocks of ice into intricate scenes. Guests receive complimentary parkas to stay warm inside the frosty 9-degree environment as they explore the 20,000-square-foot attractions. Themes featured across the six destinations include:

  • Gaylord National (National Harbor, Md.): Warner Bros.’ The Polar Express (Nov. 14, 2025–Jan. 4, 2026)
  • Gaylord Rockies (Aurora, Colo.): Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (Nov. 24, 2025–Jan. 2, 2026)
  • Gaylord Texan (Lake Grapevine, Texas): New Line Cinema’s Elf (Nov. 14, 2025–Jan. 4, 2026)

Full Holiday Destination Experiences

Beyond the signature ice exhibit, each resort is transformed into a spectacular holiday environment filled with millions of twinkling lights and towering Christmas trees. The resorts offer an all-under-one-roof experience, featuring a wide variety of classic and original festive activities.

Featured Seasonal Activities

Guests can enjoy Broadway-style cirque performances, including the debut of POMP, SNOW & CIRQUEumstance at Gaylord Opryland and Gaylord Palms, and the return of high-flying shows like Cirque: Spirit of Christmas and Cirque: Frost. Other engaging experiences available across the locations include the thrill of Ice Tubing, the interactive Snowball Build & Blast, the Elf Training Academy for children, and the cozy storytelling of Claus’ Christmas Traditions. Overnighters receive resort-only benefits such as the Chill Pass, granting front-of-the-line access to the frozen attraction.
