The legacy of Elvis Presley lives on at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino
For fans of Elvis Presley, a trip to Las Vegas is a pilgrimage. But to truly experience the King’s spirit and history, there is only one destination: Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This is not just a hotel where Elvis played; it’s the very place where he built his legendary residency and where his presence is still deeply felt today.
Originally opened as the world-renowned International Hotel, the property was once the largest and tallest hotel west of the Mississippi River. It was here, in the now-famous International Theater, that Elvis launched a career-defining seven-year residency on July 31, 1969. The King famously lived on the hotel’s 30th floor in a luxurious penthouse suite, making the resort his home away from home.
Though many of these experiences are limited edition and are only offered a few times a year, there are still ways to feel the presence of Elvis Presley at Westgate Las Vegas throughout the year. You can get tickets for The King Comes Home here.

Reliving the Magic: Tribute Shows and Celebrations
The resort continues to honor Elvis’s legacy with a variety of events and performances. In a sold-out tribute show, 1969 Live! The King Returns, renowned tribute artist Travis Powell, recreated Elvis’s original 1969 setlist on the very same stage where the King himself performed.
“What a spectacular night,” said Cami Christensen, President and General Manager of Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. “To see guests from all generations dancing, celebrating, and honoring Elvis right here at the International Theater—the very stage where his legacy began—was incredibly special. Westgate is proud to be the only place in Las Vegas where fans can relive this history in such an authentic and powerful way.”
The energy of the performance was palpable for both the audience and the artist. “It was an absolute honor to step onto the same stage where Elvis made history,” said Travis Powell. “There’s something truly magical about performing in the International Theater—with the energy of the crowd, the legacy of the room, and the love everyone has for Elvis. I’ll never forget the electricity in the air that night—it was like The King came home again.”
Additional tribute shows featuring Travis Powell are planned for 2026 as part of the property’s year-long celebration of what would have been Elvis Presley’s 90th birthday. 1973 LIVE! – Aloha from Westgate is scheduled for January 14, 2026, 1969 LIVE! – The King Returns is scheduled for July 31, 2026, and 1970 LIVE! – That’s The Way It Was is scheduled for October 24, 2026. Tickets go on sale soon and can be purchased here.

The Imperial Sky Villa: Elvis’s Penthouse Suite
The Imperial Sky Villa is a living, breathing piece of Las Vegas history. This impressive 13,200-square-foot space was originally built atop the hotel in 1969 and was home to Elvis during his residency. The Imperial Sky Villa now serves as a luxurious retreat that pays tribute to its former resident. Guests can walk in the King’s footsteps, surrounded by a curated visual homage and plaques that detail his unforgettable Las Vegas years. The villa combines grand design with a deep reverence for Elvis Presley and is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the King’s world.

The International Theater: Exclusive Access to History
Elvis performed 636 shows at the International Theater during his seven-year residency. On rare tour opportunities, guests can get exclusive access to the theater and its most historic features. These tours offer a chance to see Elvis’s prayer wall, the elevator and water fountain he used every night before taking the stage, and a tour of his dressing room, which still contains original fixtures like the countertop and the mirror behind the bar. It’s an intimate and authentic look at the space where Elvis made history.
