Nostalgic fans rejoice! Local favorite Pinkbox Doughnuts has partnered with Care Bears for a delicious collaboration that’s set to take place through October. The local chain will feature a different Care Bear and a different doughnut each month. This month, the partnership kicked off at the Eastern Avenue location with a party featuring a giant Funshine Bear, music and a family-friendly morning.
We got a special hosted media taste of the sweet collab and chatted with Pinkbox Doughnut’s Senior Vice President, Michael Crandall, about the collaboration, the different bears, and what fans can expect to see (and taste).

What brought about the partnership between Pinkbox and Care Bears?
Crandall: At Pinkbox Doughnuts, our goal is to bring joy to every customer with our inventive and delicious treats. We are always looking for new ways to spread smiles, so when Care Bears approached us with the opportunity to partner with their cherished brand, we were delighted to be able to share the Care Bears’ magic and bring the characters to life with our delicious doughnuts. Care Bears X Pinkbox is a harmonious match, and we put special care into designing bear-shaped doughnuts that resemble the beloved Care Bears characters along with limited edition merchandise for fans to collect.
Can you tell us about the different monthly specials fans of both brands can expect?
Crandall: Pinkbox Doughnuts is unveiling a new Care Bears-themed character doughnut each month, while the Care Bears Bar, a pink frosted raised bard topped with sour gummy bears, will be available every month. The rotating lineup of Care Bear-shaped doughnuts will be decorated to match one of the beloved Care Bears characters, including their signature belly badges.
We will be featuring a total of seven Care Bear-shaped doughnuts in addition to the Care Bears Bar. Funshine Bear will kick things off in April, with Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Good Luck Bear, Bedtime Bear, Share Bear and Tenderheart Bear taking their turn in the spotlight throughout the following months.
We also are thrilled to launch a line of Care Bears X Pinkbox merch that includes youth and adult shirts as well as baby bibs. Care Bears fans who can’t make it out to Las Vegas can still be a part of the fun, as all Pinkbox merchandise is available for purchase online.
Is there a significance to which bears are featured in different months?
Crandall: Yes! We specifically picked each Care Bears character to fit the theme of their signature month.
April is Funshine Bear- We chose Funshine to be the themed bear for April because, just like spring days, Funshine brings sunshine and smiles.
May is Cheer Bear- Cheer Bear is known for her rainbow symbol, spunky attitude and optimism; it reminds us of the month of May as the beginning of bright summery days and the start of great new adventures!
June is Grumpy Bear- Known for his grumbling, Grumpy Bear’s belly badge is a raincloud, which in the heat of June is a welcome treat!
July is Good Luck Bear- Known for his good luck and signature green; Good Luck Bear is the perfect tasty companion for all of the summer fun in July.
August is Bedtime Bear- Like a sleepy Bedtime Bear, who brings sweet dreams, August says goodnight to summer and is welcome to dreamy fall.
September is Share Bear- In September, when all our young doughnut fans are in school with friends, Share Bear is the perfect reminder to be generous and kind to others!
October is Tender Heart Bear- We end our lineup of Care Bears with the unofficial leader of the Care Bears, the inspirational Tenderheart Bear. Tenderheart Bear’s standout orange coincides with one of our favorite holidays, Halloween!
How is this partnership different from other collaborations from Pinkbox Doughnuts?
Crandall: Pinkbox Doughnuts has had the opportunity to collaborate with many amazing brands; however, the Care Bears partnership is special because the characters, vivid colors, and magical storytelling go hand in hand with the fun and playfulness of our brand. Care Bears X Pinkbox is a re-imagining of our delicious treats, guaranteed to create memories and bring enjoyment to fans of all ages.
Do you have a favorite from the monthly doughnuts?
Crandall: At Pinkbox Doughnuts, we love all of the Care Bears, of course! If we have to choose a favorite, Funshine Bear would be our number one pick since he came in person to Pinkbox Doughnuts and sampled our delicious treats.
Can you tell us what’s coming up for Pinkbox Doughnuts?
Crandall: We have big and exciting plans underway to bring Pinkbox Doughnuts to even more fans. We continue to offer a mouth-watering variety of unique doughnuts with seven locations in Las Vegas, including a storefront in Allegiant Stadium, a location in Primm, NV, and a doughnut truck that will make it easier than ever to satisfy cravings.
This summer, we will be opening our first location outside of Nevada in St. George, Utah, and will continue to bring smiles to other areas throughout Las Vegas as we have many new stores in development.
