The Las Vegas area is rolling out the welcome mat for little ghosts and goblins this year, offering a wide array of safe, family-friendly events perfect for celebrating Halloween. From themed brunches to neighborhood trick-or-treating and even spooky aquatic adventures, here is your guide to the best holiday fun happening off the Strip.

Trick-or-Treating and Festive Community Events

The big night brings out the most festive community events, offering safe and fun environments for kids to show off their costumes and fill their bags with treats.

AREA15’s Free Tricks and Treats Event

On Friday, October 31st, AREA15 is inviting families to celebrate Nevada Day and Halloween with a free “Tricks and Treats” event running from noon until 4:00 PM. Guests of all ages are welcome to come in costume and trick-or-treat throughout the AREA District, enjoying Halloween-themed entertainment. Each child (12 and under) who registers will receive a dedicated tote bag, and every adult who RSVPs will be entered into a drawing to win four Access Level 2 Experience Passes. For a small additional fee, attendees can also purchase a package that includes tokens for Asylum Arcade, a ride on the Looper carousel, and entry to Harvest Hollow.

In addition, the whimsical Harvest Hollow is open through November 2nd, offering an outdoor pumpkin patch and autumn wonderland complete with craft stations, pumpkin painting, and charming photo opportunities for all ages.

Monsters on Main Street at The District

On Halloween night, Friday, October 31st, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, The District at Green Valley Ranch hosts Monsters on Main Street. This is a great stop for families, featuring trick-or-treating at participating stores and meet-and-greets with classic roaming spooky characters like Dracula, a mummy, and a werewolf. There will also be a costume contest for the youngest revelers, with prizes for infants and children up to age 10.

Town Scary and Dinosaur Outpost at Town Square

Also on Friday, October 31st, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the annual Town Scary event at Town Square Las Vegas offers a fantastic Halloween celebration. As part of the fun, Dinosaur Outpost will provide families with a chance to win dinosaur-themed prizes, explore a special section of the attraction free of charge, and meet adorable baby dinos, making it a truly unique stop for trick-or-treating and games.

Skellington’s Spooktacular at Tivoli Village

Adding to the fun, an interactive zombie poker player roams the area near Las Vegas Boulevard on Friday and Saturday evenings, challenging guests to quick games. The celebrations culminate on Friday, October 31st, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with special character appearances by figures like Jack Skellington and a spider on stilts, along with complimentary candy from I Love Sugar and giveaways from Yard House. Guests are also encouraged to participate in the Royal Crawl Halloween Giveaway on Instagram through October 26th by posting a photo with one of the large figurines for a chance to win passes.

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is bringing back Hallow-Reef for three days: October 25th, 26th, and 31st. Children 12 and under can go trick-or-treating right among the decorated marine exhibits and participate in fun, educational Halloween-themed activities. Little monsters (ages 5-12) who wear a costume receive a discounted $5 admission at the box office.
