Rooftop Garden Vibes at Gallow Green in New York City

Rooftop Garden Vibes at Gallow Green in New York City

Nestled in the heart of Chelsea lies a hidden gem—Gallow Green at The McKittrick Hotel. This enchanting rooftop garden boasts breathtaking views of the city skyline, making it the perfect setting for a Champagne Brunch or a romantic evening out. Step into a whimsical world of lush greenery and twinkling lights, where signature cocktails and imaginative cuisine elevate any dining experience.

The space previously featured the Ski Lodge during the winter months, with a menu filled with alpine classics and hosting At the Illusionist’s Table with world-renowned performer Scott Silven. Now, the space is ready for the warmer months.

“It is a drastic change. First, we have to remove all of the seasonal decorations and prop pieces with The McKittrick’s team,” Jen Stone and Marco Olmi, Owners of Stonekelly Events and Florals, said of the process. “This includes the furnishings, lighting elements, trellis and fabric that lines the main dining area and disassembles the surrounding enclosure. Everything is carefully packed and stored for next year. Then, we prepare the garden to plant and propagate by removing pine cones and winter branches and tilling the soil. We configure the garden beds for the restaurant’s seating plan and install a watering system to ensure all of the plants, trees, vines, and flowers filling the space stay hydrated all season long.” This year, guests can enjoy new thematic elements along with a new color palette and design pieces that truly immersive themselves in the setting.

In addition to the stunning new ambiance, Gallow Green has a fresh new menu that’s perfect for the season. “I focus on what is fresh and in season at the time of year, quality sourcing, and providing a variety of options so everyone can find something to enjoy,” Pascal Le Seac’h, Executive Chef of The McKittrick Hotel, told us. “We have a mix of new dishes like Artichoke & Crab Dip, Niçoise Salad, Octopus Piperade, grilled Sea Bream, oven-baked Ribs, and a vegan Buddha Bowl, plus returning favorites like our signature, garden-fresh Crudités, fried Cheese Curds, Grilled Salmon over salad with rosé vinaigrette, and McKittrick Cheeseburger made with a signature blend of brisket and steak and house-made bacon marmalade.”
