Family-Friendly Las Vegas
When tourists think of exploring Las Vegas, the phrase “family-friendly” isn’t always the first to come to mind. But with the city’s constantly evolving persona, Las Vegas has developed many outdoor activities that everyone in the family can enjoy! Check out this list below of great family-friendly options.

Taking a Big Bus Tour is a great way to see all of the major Las Vegas sites in a short amount of time. Because of the large capacity of the bus, it’s perfect for couples, solo travelers, small groups and larger groups. You’ll see all of the major Vegas sites with fairly unobstructed views from the top deck (the bus travels the entire length of the Strip through Downtown Las Vegas). You can hop off at any of the stops and hop back on once you finish exploring. There are also stops in the Arts District (a perfect place to do some shopping and enjoy some local cuisine) and the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas,” where you can get the perfect IG pic from your Las Vegas vacation.
Pink Jeep Tours
If you’re visiting Las Vegas with your family and are looking for a safe and fun way to see the sights of the Valley, then Pink Jeep Tours is a ride that the whole family will enjoy! The tours are guided by experts who know all of the ins and outs of Las Vegas, leaving you with excellent knowledge of the city and its many surrounding natural areas.
Guests can choose from a variety of tour options, like visiting the Las Vegas Strip and its numerous hot spots to visiting the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam. The company also has a “Drive, Fly, Float” tour which includes the Pink Jeep Tour and a helicopter flight over one of the canyon rims and the Colorado River so that you get the best of both worlds.
Vegas Super Karts
Created by Exotics Racing, Vegas Super Karts is an adventurous outdoor activity that features the world’s largest supercar experience. With adult and junior go-karts to race on an outdoor racetrack that spans 2,100 feet long, this is a place where the whole family can jump into the thrill ride of a lifetime. Vegas Super Karts offer rides on Sodikart SR5s, which are the fastest & safest models on the market.
Each kart races on a certified racetrack with secure track protection to ensure your family’s safety throughout your visit. Vegas Super Karts is located on the same grounds as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, just 15 minutes north of the famous Las Vegas Strip. Riders must be ten years old and at least 50 inches in height.
Springs Preserve
Springs Preserve is a 180-acre beautiful and historic part of Las Vegas located less than 30 minutes west of the Strip. Originally a piece of land that was a water source for Native Americans, it is now a preserved indoor and outdoor space that protects the water resources and cultural history it owns. Springs Preserve brings the best of the desert along with subtly educational areas for all ages to explore (the flash flood exhibit also educates guests on safety in an interactive way).
Aside from being a historical site, Springs Preserve is an attraction the whole family will love. Families can learn about the origins of Las Vegas in the Origen Museum and the Nevada State Museum. Guests can also attend galleries, outdoor events and explore the gorgeous botanical garden, which features a butterfly habitat, a garden classroom, Mojave collection and a solar house.
Grand Canyon Tours
No matter what your activity level, there’s a Grand Canyon tour that’s perfect for you and your family. You can choose from different transportation options like a bus tour, a plane flight or a helicopter. If you enjoy horseback riding, there are tour options once you’re there that include a ride and breakfast or a sunset ride with dinner. You can even go whitewater rafting or skydiving. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is a bit further out; however, you can still enjoy the stunning canyon views at the West Rim at Grand Canyon West (also accessible by bus, helicopter and plane). If you’re feeling brave, check out the Skywalk for a transparent glass view straight down into the canyon. You can also find small group VIP options just for you and your party!
The Strip
Just because Las Vegas Boulevard is an adult playground, doesn’t mean there isn’t anything the whole family can enjoy. You’ll find a variety of thrills like the Big Apple Coaster, the High Roller, Adventuredome, and The STRAT Hotel, casino & Skypod. There are plenty of great restaurants and shows that are kid-friendly as well. Don’t be afraid to get out and explore!
