Four Fantastic Winter Events in Las Vegas

Winter in Las Vegas is a magical time filled with an abundance of festivities and cheer. While known for its vibrant nightlife and bustling casinos, Las Vegas also offers many exciting and unique experiences that embrace the chilly season. Whether you’re a local or visiting Sin City during this time of year, we’ve curated a list of four fun ways to make the most of the cooler weather in Las Vegas.

Four Fantastic Winter Las Vegas Activities

Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where guests are invited to experience Ski Lodge inside Superfrico (it’s open year-round, but the holiday season is particularly exciting). This year, The Cosmopolitan presents a Holiday Ski-tacular cocktail menu, featuring delightful twists on beloved classics like the invigorating Noche Buena and the comforting Slava’s Snowstorm. Indulge in the famous ShotSkis of Baileys, all while reveling in the festive, snowy ambiance. To enhance the ski lodge experience, the resort has also introduced the Ski Lodge Waffle Hut at The Cosmopolitan’s Ice Rink, open through January 12, 2025. At the Waffle Hut, guests can savor gourmet waffles paired with signature cocktails, creating the ultimate après-ski experience in the heart of Vegas. Whether seeking delicious libations, delectable waffles, or simply embracing the winter vibes, the Ski Lodge at The Cosmopolitan is a fantastic destination to celebrate the season! Note: Ski Lodge is for guests 21 and over only.

Throughout the winter months, guests at The Terrace at Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa & Casino will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a magical and festive atmosphere yet again with the return of Winter at The Terrace. The twinkling lights, fun and festive bites, and Instagrammable igloos are back and better than ever. Indulge in the delightful ambiance and sip winter-inspired cocktails and beverages like “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” a delightful blend of Bacardi White, Licor 43 Horchata, Coconut Milk, Pandan, Mint, and Nutmeg, topped with Candy Cane Crumbles. For a hot and comforting treat, try the “Baby it’s Cold Outside” with Glenmorangie Triple Cask, Taffer’s Browned Butter Bourbon, Spiced Apple Cider, Salted Caramel Foam, and a sprinkle of Cinnamon. The Hot Chocolate Cart Experience is a must-try, offering indulgent delights like Salted Caramel Marshmallows, Peppermint Marshmallows, and Milk or White Chocolate Cocoa Bombs. Pair these delectable treats with seasonal bites like the Winter Fondue or the Tuscan Charcuterie for a complete culinary experience. “Winter at the Terrace” is open through February 15, 2025, so you can enjoy the winter vibes all season long.

Every winter, the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas transforms into an icy wonderland high above The Las Vegas Strip. Guests of all ages can enjoy skating right in the center of the Las Vegas Strip at The Ice Rink. Indulge in seasonal food and beverage offerings, roast s’mores by the fire, and enjoy the chill winter atmosphere. The Ice Rink was even named one of USA Today’s 10 Best Ice Skating Rinks in North America, and the rink has been a winter favorite among locals and tourists for years. Admission is complimentary, and skate rental is available for those who don’t have their own (you can also rent skate aids if you’re a little less sure-footed). The Ice Rink is open to all ages, and open through February 12, 2025. Gests can enjoy a variety of holiday pop-ups and activations like the Coca-Cola Holiday Village and the Ski Lodge Waffle Hut. Guests can also enjoy a meal at The Chalet.

If you’re not feeling the ice, take a trip to Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace inside Tao Beach at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The opulent dayclub has transformed into a family-friendly rollerskating paradise with a 3,250-square-foot rink. The surface of the rink is made with a softer surface, so trips and falls are much easier to manage and much less painful, making it easier for kids of all ages to enjoy their skating. From Thursday to Sunday, guests can enjoy roller skating from noon to 8 p.m. Seasoned skaters and roller-newbies can all enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and world-class DJs. Cabana rentals are available, along with a delicious menu of fun foods and winter staples like grilled cheese and tomato soup. Bring your own skates or rent them at Flippers and enjoy skating all season long.
