Family-Friendly Holiday Activities in Las Vegas
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Enjoy the Tim Burton classic The Nightmare Before Christmas with an immersive screening at AREA15. The venue is showing the film with specially designed light and sound to enhance the experience. We got a hosted media sneak peek at the immersive space. The enhanced sound and lighting allow viewers to feel as though they are right inside the movie. Seating is comfortable and easily allows for social distancing. Every ticketholder also receives a beverage from the bar—try one of the deliciously themed cocktails named for each of the holidays (we loved Halloween and Christmas). From now to December 25, the viewings will be available on select dates with some for guests 21 and over only.
Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
The beloved Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is back and better than ever! In addition to the rink and fire pits, the Boulevard Pool has added a festive holiday dining option, The Chalet—we visited the Ice Rink for a hosted press visit to get a look at the rink and the restaurant. Fully decked out in its holiday splendor, The Chalet offers numerous comfort food options designed for individuals and also priced out to share with a group. The menu has a selection of winter cocktails and mocktails along with hot chocolate (you can also purchase a thermos to share). Enjoy the fire pits and the views of the Las Vegas Strip from the pool level. The Ice Rink opens December 2, 2023.
Enchant Christmas
Located at Las Vegas Ballpark, Enchant Christmas is a holiday activity perfect for the whole family. The special skating maze features a full story and scavenger hunt that’s perfect for children (and adults) of all ages. Centered amidst the trail is a stunning 80-foot Christmas tree (taller than the one at Rockefeller Center) along with plenty of displays nestled along the way. If you’re in the mood for some winter eats, you’ll find plenty of specialty foods and artisanal local treats.
“Tournament of Kings”
The family favorite Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur Hotel & Casino brings back its popular holiday show “Twas the Knight.” Guests will be treated to a special holiday edition of the interactive dining experience. Join King Arthur at this medieval tournament and watch Merlin summon a holiday snowfall while enjoying a three-course meal (with no hands in true Medieval style).
