Sugar Factory has built a reputation as one of America’s most playful and iconic dining destinations, known for its over-the-top desserts, celebrity sightings, and vibrant atmosphere. Opened at the height of social media’s cultural takeover, the brand was originally punctuated with its Couture Pops, complete with bedazzled lollipop handles, colorful candies, and over-the-top sweets shops. Since then, Sugar Factory has evolved into a picturesque dining destination that appeals to different generations. With locations all over the country including Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Orlando, and one of its newest homes, Boston.

Indulge in Sweet Delights at Sugar Factory Boston and Beyond

“Fans of Sugar Factory have long been eager for a Boston location! Boston is an amazing, world-class city, and Sugar Factory is the perfect addition,” Jaime D’Oliveira, VP of Restaurant Operations for Sugar Factory, told us. “Plus, we couldn’t be in a better location. In the Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market area, we are centrally located and easily accessible via walking and public transportation, but there are also plenty of parking options nearby. We’re also just steps away from major city venues like the TD Garden, so Sugar Factory is perfect for before or after a game or concert.”

Despite the nationally known brand recognition, Sugar Factory spent time making sure that the Boston location would fit in with the values of a Boston restaurant. “Sugar Factory Boston has a variety of locally sourced and New England-inspired dishes that are exclusive to Boston (more on that below,)” D’Oliveira explained. “And Sugar Factory is absolutely for everyone! Whether it’s a date night, a family outing, a girls’ night or a special occasion. Also, for special occasions, we have our famed Pink Room, which is exceptional for events. It features pink, cotton-candy-colored wallpaper, floral detailings, heart-candy prints, neon signage, twinkling lights, plush pink booths and flowery chandeliers hanging overhead–it’s the perfect destination for special celebrations for Bostonians – bachelorette parties, bridal and baby showers, sweet sixteens, small weddings and more. The Pink Room can accommodate up to 50 people.”

The newest Sugar Factory location has plenty of nods to its New England hometown, complete with specially sourced and created items. “Sugar Factory dishes are so much fun, but also delicious. Sugar Factory has an incredible variety of brunch, lunch, and dinner items from a scratch kitchen, including a host of specially-created New England-influenced dishes for the Boston location with a focus on seafood—both our Boston visitors and tourists alike love them,D’Oliveira said of the popular dishes at the Boston location. “Our iconic Sugar Factory dishes have done very well in Boston. This includes the Rainbow Sliders on Sugar Factory’s famous rainbow buns; plus, we also have Lobster Sliders at the Boston location. Sugar Factory’s incredible selection of 8 oz. Monster Burgers also do very well – especially the Big Cheesy, which is topped with melted American cheese, creamy mac & cheese, applewood bacon, pickles, shredded lettuce, tomato, crispy onions and BBQ sauce on a toasted brioche bun. And all of our signature, celebrity-endorsed smoking candy goblets served either with or without alcohol do very well, like the Hawaiian Punch goblet – made with 818 tequila, peach Sprinter Seltzer, fresh guava, passion fruit, orange and pineapple juices, and a hint of grenadine – tropical islands never tasted this good! Accompanied with a Sugar Factory duck to take home and designed and tasted by Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner.”

While no two Sugar Factory locations are the same, you’ll find little nods to the main flagship location all over each restaurant, with similarities you can spot if you’re observant. “Sugar Factory was named “The Most Instagrammed Restaurant in the United States by Food & Wine Magazine, so every location is full of photo opportunities,D’Oliveira said of the restaurant’s decor across the country. “All locations include the famed “Pink Room, perfect for celebrations. The Boston location also features an Instagram-worthy floral wall with neon signage near the entrance, marble stairs leading to the second-floor main dining room, a 360-degree marble bar, and the candy retail store where guests can choose from over 150 types of sweet treats and more on Sugar Factory’s signature floor-to-ceiling candy wall. All locations have a candy retail store for guests to enjoy.”

If you’re hoping to find some famous Boston seafood on the menu, you’re in luck! “We have a big focus on seafood in Boston. Expanded appetizers and shareable plates include Fried Ipswich Clams, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Crab and Fire Roasted Artichoke Dip, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Oven Roasted Clams and Lobster Sliders in the famous Sugar Factory rainbow buns,D’Oliveira said of the Boston exclusive menu items. “Entrees custom to Boston include the Sugar Factory Lobster Pot Pie and North End Cioppino, and there’s even a Boston Cream Pie milkshake for dessert. The milkshake features vanilla ice cream blended with a slice of Boston cream cake; it’s served in a dark chocolate mug decorated with white chocolate curls and topped with a Boston cream pie donut, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a rainbow whirly pop.”

The restaurant’s location puts Sugar Factory on the map—literally. “The building reflects the history of the area, located right near the iconic Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. But step inside, and you will immediately experience the vibrancy of the present day with Sugar Factory’s unmistakable energy, bright colors, fun music, and more,D’Oliveira told us. “You never know who you might see at Sugar Factory! The one-of-a-kind dining experience also has a huge celebrity following, including Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Britney Spears, Drake, Nicole Scherzinger, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Kevin Hart, 50 Cent and more.

“The experience for everyone of all ages is like no other, with the signature Sugar Factory Goblets, milkshakes, desserts, and dishes that are all made for the camera. Sugar Factory Boston also now has highly unique espresso martini flavors in its Espresso Martini Tree of Paradise—guests can pick four full-size espresso martinis of their choice (traditional, Caramel Macchiato, Oreo, Pistachio or Tiramisu.) At Sugar Factory’s signature floor-to-ceiling candy wall, we have traditional favorites, but we also have some candies that you cannot find anywhere else – this includes a candy Sugar Factory duck, which is adorable! Last but not least… Sugar Factory hosts holiday pop-ups each season with floor-to-ceiling décor and special (and highly visual) menu items for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Christmas and more.

Few places are more fitting (or more picturesque) to celebrate a special occasion of any kind. “Over the top at Sugar Factory makes for the best photos, celebrations and conversation starters—all part of the experience!D’Oliveira said of the guest experience. “Examples include the famous 24K Gold Burger served dripping in edible 24 karat gold leaf, with freshly-dusted golden French fries and a 24K golden milkshake, and the unforgettable King Kong Sundae – a favorite for birthday parties and other celebrations! The world-famous King Kong has 20 scoops of ice cream, sauces, a glazed donut, a vanilla cupcake, a wide variety of candies, unicorn pops, marshmallows, and more, topped off with whipped cream gummy cherries. It’s a sweet escape for everyone of all ages – come in, enjoy the amazing food, drinks and dessert, grab some candy to take home, and take lots of photos.”
